There are many opinions about this. If you are in a position that you need to sell your home, well then the answer is obvious. But if you want to use holiday seasons; Christmas, Thanksgiving or even the middle of summer as a selling strategy, there are a few things you need to consider:
- There are fewer homes on the market – true, but there are also fewer buyers looking. So if you do need a fast sale, this is likely not the strategy for you!
- Buyers who are taking time during holidays are likely motivated for one reason or another, so you might get what you’re asking for since the selection is so slim. But you may also seem like a motivated seller. So if low-ball offers are not something you want to deal with, this isn’t the ideal for you.
